UK-based Tatler discussed Dr. Forley in its 2008 Beauty and Cosmetic Surgery Guide as one of the “A-list of cosmetic surgeons”…”who are at the top of their game”…and whose “innovations are shaping the art of cosmetic surgery around the world.” It was noted that Dr. Forley’s “discreet Upper East Side clinic is perfect for women and men in search of minimally invasive natural-looking surgery. He was trained in France and the UK and has a straightforward, gentle, less-is-more approach. He uses the intimidating-sounding MACS-lift (Minimal Access Cranial Suspension), which is an ingenious short-scar method. A small incision is placed just above where the ear meets the hairline and the cheeks and jowls are gently pulled up. He makes sure the skin is in great shape by using the Fraxel laser for resurfacing and combines it with expertly placed fillers like Sculptra to maximise his results. He also does Juvederm, Botox and Restylane at the Elizabeth Arden Red Door Salon and Spa on Fifth Avenue. He has been on missions to Asia and Africa, where he has devoted his skills to treat children with facial deformities.”

Julia Reed writes that Dr. Forley, “disarms me by asking what I might like to have done. Nothing, I say, sure that I mean it. And then he shows me before and after books of tiny little neck lifts, subtle browlifts involving tiny little incisions well hidden within the hairline. In ten years, he assures me, I’ll be thinking about it. I actually like him. And I fear he may be right.”

Discussing plastic surgery requests by patients who want to look their best for New Year’s Eve, Dr. Forley expressed uneasiness with “people viewing surgery as the answer to a fashion emergency…he discourages patients seeking liposuction just before a St. Bart’s vacation or a big night out. Rather than having patients get plastic surgery to fit into a ball gown, he said, he would encourage them “to make a New Year’s resolution that will help them to maintain the ability to fit into that ball gown next year.” Wise advice…”
In an article entitled “Europeans Take Beauty Trip to U.S.”, Dr. Forley commented that, “he first noticed an uptick in international patients two or three years ago. His office arranges lodging and nursing care for overseas patients at hotels near his office in Manhattan. A British patient who came for surgery this year says she was surprised by the personal service she received from Dr. Forley, including a post-surgical checkup at her hotel on a Sunday morning.”
The author visited Dr. Forley and commented that “some of the wisest words spoken to me came from a quiet but eminent plastic surgeon, Dr. Bryan Forley, as he refused to use Botox on my forehead: “Just because a procedure is available, it does not mean it’s necessarily wise to have it,” he said.

We can customize a Sculptra treatment to the individual patient to fill volume deficiencies in a way that restores broad areas of lost facial volume, enhances the cheek area, and eliminates depressions around the mouth. In an article entitled “The New Therapy Landscape”, Dr. Forley commented on the use of Fraxel laser and Botox. “If I am treating someone with (fractional resurfacing) laser rejuvenation and they have got intense frown lines or smile lines, and I can reduce those with Botox before doing the laser, it helps rejuvenate the skin into a much smoother state.”
Dr. Forley wrote about his personal experience with the Fraxel laser in his private practice in an article entitled “Three Years with a Fraxel Laser”. He described the benefits he has seen in the treatment of wrinkles and skin texture, skin discoloration, and acne scars.
