The MyEllevate system utilizes a permanent suture placed via a series of tiny punctures immediately below the lower edge of the jawline to enhance structural neck definition. The suture is tightened at the midline after being secured deep to the skin behind each ear. The system also enables a non-surgical division of the prominent muscle bands of the midline of the neck to further improve neck contour. Any excessive neck fat can also be sculpted by liposuction as part of the treatment.
The QuantumRF and Morpheus8 Burst duo of fractionated bipolar RF skin tightening treatments complement the structural neck definition provided by MyEllevate. In some cases, patients have excessive skin laxity and redundancy that necessitates an excisional approach but their preference is for a less invasive surgical procedure. A modification of the MyEllevate procedure that includes a “mini-lift” with a limited incision skin removal and redraping can be performed under local anesthesia in these patients. This approach, known as MyEllevate Plus, is not a substitute for a facelift but can achieve excellent improvements in the appearance of the jowl, jawline, and neck with less downtime.
